Jens Hilgers is a Founding Partner of BITKRAFT Esports Ventures. Considered a godfather of esports, Jens began his esports career in 1997. While still in college, he built, a news portal for online PC games, launched the first German Clan League and build and hosted Gamers Gathering, Europe’s biggest Lan-Party. After founding and leading multiple startups in the esports space, Jens founded Turtle Entertainment in 2000. As CEO for ten years, Jens grew the company into the world's most prestigious esports brand and, along with it, paved the way for esports to go mainstream. In 2015, international entertainment company, MTG, acquired a majority stake in Turtle Entertainment, marking the first acquisition of an esports company by a traditional media organization.

Markus is a Founding Partner of BITKRAFT Esports Ventures. Previously, Markus co-founded Delivery Hero, the Berlin-based food delivery unicorn, currently valued at over three billion dollars. Prior to Delivery Hero, Markus was a Partner at Team Europe, co-founded the Web2Asia incubator, was an advisor at the Austrian VC firm Gamma Capital Partners and has made various angel investments in internet startups.

Minard Hamilton


Minard Hamilton is a Partner at BITKRAFT Esports Ventures and leads the firm’s US office out of Los Angeles. Prior to BITKRAFT, Minard spent a number of years as both an operator and advisor of early stage companies in gaming, mobile, sports and consumer internet, including JAMDAT Mobile (IPO), Sports Technologies (acquired), and eByline (acquired).

Minard’s early career experience includes senior executive roles at ESPN and Activision, international film distribution and production for Roger Corman, and investment banking at J.P. Morgan. Minard holds an AB in American History from Princeton University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
